BioWare is working on a new installment planned for the current generation of consoles. The studio takes advantage of N7 Day to address fans.

BioWare has held this Sunday N7 Day of Mass Effect , which approximates the fourteenth anniversary of what is one of the most influential licenses of the video game world in recent decades. Following Mass Effect Andromeda in 2017 and Mass Effect Legendary Edition in 2021, fans are wondering how things are going with the next installment, currently in development. Although specific details have not transpired, the study has published this suggestive poster that also serves to confirm that things are still on track: ” Mass Effect will continue .”

It may interest you:

Mike Gamble , who has led the Mass Effect series for more than a decade, is the project manager for the next game in the Mass Effect series. This data is confirmed by the EA itself. However, we do not know the status of the project, its current degree of development or what elements will characterize a video game surrounded by secrecy.

The image shows us a spacecraft landing on a planet near a crater, but what can it tell us? The community has linked the shape of the crater and that huge central circle to the Geth , the race of networked artificial intelligences that have human appearance. Furthermore, part of the community links this image to Legion, the consciousness made up of 1,183 geth programs, which was part of Shepard’s team.

From the poster we can see a group of four characters leaving the ship; but it is not possible to find his identity at such a distance. It is speculated that the body lying on the ground could be that of Legion and that this planet is Rannoch . This theory is not confirmed.

The ship bears the letters SFX (the original Normandy was marked SR1). We only know of this installment that will take place after Mass Effect 3.

BioWare undergoes changes; Dragon Age 4 and Mass Effect are still in development

Last December we met the departure of Casey Hudson and Mark Darrah from BioWare, two strong profiles within the company who were serving as backbones in the Dragon Age IV projects and the upcoming Mass Effect. We’re talking about the CEO of BioWare and the executive producer of the Dragon Age series. Hudson was eventually replaced by Gary McKay.

From the original teaser of the new Mass Effect we could only confirm the presence of Liara T’Sony , one of the protagonists of the original trilogy.
